Samsung launches Galaxy Note20 and Galaxy Note20 Ultra with AMOLED Plus displays and improved S-Pen
Samsung has finally launched the new Note series devices Samsung Galaxy Note20 and Galaxy Note20 Ultra in an official virtual event online. The new Galaxy Note20 and Galaxy Note20 Ultra come with an improved S-Pen and both run on the Snapdragon 865+ or Exynos 990 SoC according to the markets. Both the new devices come with an in-display Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner, run Android 10 with OneUI OS out of the box and have Wireless Samsung DeX support, and IP68 water and dust resistance ratings as well. Both phones have triple rear cameras and a punch-hole front-facing camera.
The Samsung Galaxy Note20 will be available in select markets starting August 21, 2020, priced at £849 for the 8GB + 256GB LTE variant, 8GB + 128GB variant with 5G support is priced at $999.99 and the 8GB + 256GB 5G variant is priced at £949. It will be available with Mystic Bronze, Mystic Green and Mystic Gray colour options. The Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra will be available in select markets starting August 21, 2020, as well with Mystic Bronze, Mystic Black and Mystic White colour options. It comes with a 5G variant only with the 12GB + 256GB variant priced at $1,299.99, the 12GB + 256GB variant priced at € 1,299 and the 12GB + 512GB variant priced at $1,449.99.
The Samsung Galaxy Note20 comes with a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Plus Infinity-O Display, HDR10+, 393 PPI, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and 2400×1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by the Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ 7nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 650 GPU / Octa-Core Samsung Exynos 990 7nm EUV processor with ARM Mali-G77MP11 GPU based on the markets. The LTE variant comes with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM + 256GB (UFS 3.1) storage while the 5G variant comes with an additional 128GB inbuilt storage variant as well.
It runs on the Android 10 with OneUI and supports Dual SIM (nano + nano). It has a triple rear camera setup with a 12-megapixel primary camera with LED Flash, f/1.8 aperture, PDAF, OIS, a 64-megapixel Telephoto lens with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, OIS, 3x Hybrid Optic Zoom, Super-Resolution Zoom up to 30X and a 12-megapixel 120° Ultra Wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture. It also comes with a 10-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture.
The device supports a 4300mAh battery with 25W fast charging, wireless (WPC and PMA) charging, Wireless PowerShare, comes with 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ax (2.4/5GHz), HE80, MIMO, 1024-QAM, Bluetooth 5, GPS with GLONASS, USB Type-C (Gen 3.2), NFC, MST connectivity options, water and dust resistant (IP68), stereo speakers tuned by AKG, Dolby Atmos and has an in-display Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. It comes with a Bluetooth-enabled S Pen with Pressure levels of 4096, a Pen tip diameter: of 0.7 mm and IP68 certification. It measures 161.6 x 75.2 x 8.3mm and weighs 192g.

The LTE variant comes with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM + 256GB/512GB (UFS 3.1) storage while the 5G variant comes with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM with 128GB/256GB/512GB (UFS 3.1) storage option which is expandable up to 1TB with microSD. It runs on the Android 10 with OneUI and supports Dual SIM (nano + nano). It has a triple rear camera setup with a 108-megapixel primary camera with LED Flash, f/1.8 aperture, PDAF, OIS, Laser AF Sensor, a 12-megapixel Periscope lens with f/3.0 aperture, PDAF, OIS, 5X optical zoom, Super-Resolution Zoom up to 50X, another 12-megapixel 120° Ultra Wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture.
