Huawei is all set to launch its new smartphone Huawei Maimang 6, the successor to last year’s Huawei Maimang 5 on September 22 as the company has started teasing the device on their Weibo account. In a separate leak, leakster @evleaks has shared a screenshot from the Maimang 6 smartphone that shows the device’s dual cameras on the rear and front panels. Now, a Weibo user has shared a couple of leaked images from the device that also look similar to the render shared by @evleaks on his Twitter account recently. According to the rumors this new device will carry a full-screen display with minimal bezels. It will be powered by Huawei’s chipset from the Kirin series.
Huawei Maimang 6 specs
According to the leaks online, the new Maimang 6 will feature a 5.99-inch Full HD+ 2.5D curved glass display with 2160 x 1080 pixels resolution and will be powered by the in-house octa-core Kirin 659 processor (4 xA53 at 2.36GHz + 4 x A53 at 1.7GHz) with MaliT830-MP2 GPU. It will have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage capacity that will be further expandable up to 256GB with a microSD card slot. It will run on Android 7.0 (Nougat) with EMUI on top and will also support Hybrid Dual SIMs, which means you will be able to use two nano sims or one nano SIM + microSD card with this phone.
It will feature a dual rear camera with a 16-megapixel camera having LED flash along with a secondary 2-megapixel camera. The device will have a dual front-facing camera as well with a 13-megapixel camera along with a secondary 2-megapixel camera. The device will be backed up by a 3240mAh battery and will carry several connectivity options like 4G LTE with VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS / Glonass and others. It will have a fingerprint sensor on the rear side below the dual rear camera module. It measures 156.2 × 75.2 × 7.5mm and weighs 164 grams. It will be available in Black and Blue colour options.

Other features of the device include a 3400mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging, 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11ac dual-band (2×2 MU-MIMO ), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, NFC, USB Type-C and a fingerprint sensor. It measures 151.8x 75.5 ×7.7 mm and weighs 185 grams for the standard variant while the Special Edition Mi Mix 2 measures 150.5x 74.6 ×7.7 mm and weighs 187 grams.
