Original story: Nothing is all set to launch the new Nothing Phone 2a Plus on 31st July which will be the bigger variant of Nothing Phone 2a. The company has started teasing the latest device launch on their social media pages and website in different regions. No details are available about the official specifications of the device but is expected to have a bigger display than the regular Nothing Phone 2A which was launched in March of this year.
Nothing Phone 2a Plus Price
As per the rumours, the Nothing Phone 2A will be priced starting at around INR 25000 (CAD 410) for the 128GB inbuilt storage option. There is no official word on it though, we will be able to get more details in the coming days as the launch is less than 2 weeks away now.
Nothing Phone 2a Plus Rumored Specifications
The new Nothing Phone 2a Plus is rumoured to launch with a bigger display than the Phone 2A which has a 6.7-inch display. Nothing’s teaser says, “Plus. More. Extra. An extraordinary new smartphone is coming. Learn everything on 31 July, 04:00 EST.” “Plus” may be an indication of a bigger 2000 nits display, or more battery or maybe more RAM or storage. The phone might be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 or 7+ Gen 2, a better build with a glass back and aluminum frame, a Sony LYT600 1/1.953 sensor, and may get the wireless charging features which were not available in the Nothing Phone 2a.
A new smartphone with model number A142P has already received approval from India’s Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and is listed on the BIS website. The device also got approval from TDRA in the UAE on 16th July 2024 with the same model number. No specifications are listed in the approval listing but it mentions the “Nothing Phone 2a Plus” name. We need to wait for more rumours before the device launch.
To recall, the Phone 2a was launched with a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED flexible AMOLED display with 1300 nits peak brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It has a 2.8 GHz octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro 4nm processor with Mali-G610 MC4 GPU. 8GB LPDD4X RAM with 128GB UFS 2.2 storage, 8GB / 12GB LPDDR4X RAM with 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. It runs on Android 14-based Nothing OS 2.5 and has support for Dual SIM (nano + nano).
The other features include a dual camera on the rear with a 50-megapixel f/1.88 aperture main camera and a secondary 50-megapixel 114° ultra-wide f/2.2 aperture lens. It also has a 32-megapixel front camera with f/2.4 aperture. We have a 5000mAh battery with 45W wired charging and no wireless charging. It has 5G SA/NSA (n1, n3, n5, n7, n8, n20, n28, n38, n40, n41,n66, n77, n78 bands), Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11ax (2.4GHz/5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, USB Type-C, NFC connectivity options and an in-display optical fingerprint scanner. It supports Splash resistant IP54 ratings and measures 161.74x 76.32x 8.55mm with 190 grams weight.
