Yes, HMD Aura aka HMD Rocky is here. As we already know HMD has started launching new devices with HMD branding like the HMD Pulse series instead of the iconic Nokia brand. The company has finally launched the HMD Rocky smartphone as HMD Aura in Australia. The device recently received FCC certification with the codename HMD Rocky revealing some of the specifications of the device. The HMD Aura is listed by an Australian retailer spotted by Nokiamob. The device is also listed by the HMD website for the US and the support page is live for Great Britain. Let’s check the specifications and price of this budgeted entry-level HMD device.

This device is priced at AU$179 and is listed on JBHifi. It is available in two colour options Glacier Green and Indigo Black. There are no pricing details available for the other regions as of now.
HMD Aura Specifications
The new Aura features a 6.56-inch HD+ V-notch display with a 60Hz refresh rate and 1600 x 900 pixels resolution. It is powered by a UNISOC SC9863A1 processor and has 4GB of RAM with 64GB of inbuilt storage and support for MicroSD card expandable storage up to 256GB. It runs on the Android 13 OS out of the box with two years of regular security updates and supports Hybrid Dual SIMs (nano-SIM + nano-SIM/micro-SD).
It has a dual rear camera with a 13-megapixel main sensor and a 0.08-megapixel depth sensor with LED flash, full-HD video recording (1080p @ 30fps). We have a 5-megapixel front camera as well. This device has a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging and connectivity options available are 4G LTE, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, USB Type-C Port 2.0, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Wi-Fi 4 (802.11 b/g/n). As per the FCC listing of HMD Aura, it will be available in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and Latin America with three model numbers TA-1631, TA-1635 and TA-1637. We have to wait now for its official launch as the device is still not announced officially by the company.
