Samsung has finally launched the new variant of the Galaxy J3 smartphone and the 2017 edition of this device with the name Samsung Galaxy J3 2017. The Galaxy J3 2017 will be available with AT&T carrier in the United States and was also announced as Galaxy J3 Emerge for the carrier Sprint recently.

It comes with the Silver colour option and is priced at $179.99 without a contract or if you want to go with the contract then you have to pay $6/month with a 30-month contract with the carrier AT&T. This new Galaxy J3 2017 runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat OS out of the box instead of the Marshmallow OS found on the Galaxy J3 Emerge on Sprint.

It features a 5-inch HD IPS display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and is powered by a 1.4 GHz quad-core Exynos Exynos 7 Quad (7570) 14nm processor with Mali-T720 GPU. it comes with 1.5GB of RAM and has 16GB of internal storage capacity that is further expandable up to 256GB with a microSD card slot. It runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat OS out of the box and comes with single SIM support.
It features a 5-megapixel rear camera with 4x digital zoom, FHD recording @30fps, LED flash and f/1.9 aperture while we have a 2-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. The front camera comes with multiple features like gesture control and beauty effects while in selfie mode and also supports auto, pro, sports, panorama, sound & shot, and selfie shooting options.
It comes backed up by a 2600mAh removable battery that can give up to 23 hours of talk time and up to 17 hours of standby time. It supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n that is also 2.4GHz capable, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and GLONASS connectivity options. It measures 140.9 x 70.1 x 8.7 mm and weighs 147 grams. As it is a carrier-based phone it will have bloatware apps like DIRECTV, AT&T Smart Wi-Fi, AT&T App Select, Video Call, Visual Voicemail, Wi-Fi Calling, AT&T Call Protect, AT&T Protect Plus, YPmobile, DriveMode, Smart Help, and Smart Limits. It comes with an accelerometer, gyroscope and proximity sensors.
