Xiaomi has finally launched its much-anticipated smartphone in the new Poco sub-brand with the name POCO F1 which comes with flagship series specifications.

POCO F1 Price
The main highlight of the device is its price as it can be yours for just Rs. 20999 (around $301) with 6GB RAM + 64GB internal storage making it the cheapest Snapdragon 845-powered smartphone. The POCO F1 with 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage is priced at Rs. 23,999 (around $344), 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage costs Rs. 28,999 (around $415) and 8GB RAM + 256GB inbuilt storage also called as Kevlar Armored Edition will cost you Rs. 29,999 (around $430). Xiaomi is also selling some cases separately that include an ultra-slim case with a matte finish priced at Rs. 399, an armoured case with a Kevlar finish priced at Rs. 799 and POCO Mobile Skins priced at Rs. 299.
POCO F1 Specifications
The POCO F1 comes with Graphite Black, Steel Blue, and Rosso Red colors, as well as Armored Edition with Kevlar back and also, has a soft case in the box. It comes with LiquidCool Technology and comes with a hard-coated polycarbonate unibody design. It also comes with a Kevlar back option or Armored Edition that uses Kevlar aramid fibre. The device comes with an IR face unlock that can unlock the phone in just 0.4 seconds even in pitch darkness. Xiaomi has also confirmed that POCO F1 will receive the Android 9.0 (Pie) update in Q4 2018. No details are available about its global launch.
The Xiaomi POCO F1 features a 6.18-inch Full HD+ 18.7:9 2.5D curved glass display, 1500:1 contrast ratio, 84% NTSC colour gamut, Corning Gorilla Glass protection and 2246 × 1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform with Adreno 630 GPU. It comes with 6GB/8GB LPDDR4x RAM options with 64GB / 128GB/256GB (UFS 2.1) internal storage variants with expandable storage with up to 256GB with microSD card. It runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with MIUI 9 out of the box and will get Android 9.0 (Pie) soon. It supports hybrid Dual SIMs (nano + nano / microSD).
It features a dual rear camera with a 12-megapixel rear camera with dual LED Flash, f/1.9 aperture, 1.4μm pixel size, Sony IMX363 sensor, Dual Pixel autofocus along with a secondary 5-megapixel camera with Samsung sensor. It comes with a 20-megapixel front-facing camera with ƒ/2.0 aperture. The device is powered by a 4000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging and supports Dual 4G+ VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C, 3.5mm audio jack connectivity options and also comes with Dirac HD, Dual Smart PA for HD audio. It has a fingerprint sensor on the rear side and also supports IR face unlock. It measures 155.5x 75.3x 8.8 and weighs 180 grams.
Via their Twitter post, the Chinese company announced their official event in India in Delhi on August 22 where the company was expected to launch this new device. Xiaomi started teasing the new POCOPHONE via their Twitter account that says that the new POCOPHONE smartphone will be a “Master of Speed” and will have “Performance like never before”. The latest company’s tweet says, “Get ready to light up your life with #POCOPHONEF1. The true #MasterOfSpeed will blaze a new trail for how fast smartphones can be. Spread the word and see for yourself on August 22nd.” The POCOPHONE F1 was also recently leaked in an unboxing video confirming the design of the device.
