Samsung just announced the new Samsung Galaxy Quantum 5 smartphone in South Korea which is a rebranded variant of Samsung Galaxy A55 which was launched in March. This new device was launched in partnership with SK Telecom and is exclusive to the South Korean market. This new device has the same design and same specifications as the Galax A55 and the only difference is the introduction of the extra security chip called quantum cryptographic chip from ID Quantique (IDQ) as per reports. The new Samsung Galaxy Quantum 5 is priced at KRW 618,200 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. It comes with Awesome Ice Blue, Awesome Lilac, and Awesome Navy colour options.

The new Samsung Galaxy Quantum 5 features a premium design with a metal flat frame. It has a 6.6-inch Super-AMOLED Infinity-O display with Full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) resolution, HDR, 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1,000 nits of brightness and Vision Booster that optimizes colour contrast and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection. It comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage with a MicroSD card expandable storage slot offering up to 1TB of additional storage. It is powered by a 2.75GHz octa-core Exynos 1480 processor with AMD Xclipse 530 GPU. It runs on the Android 14-based Samsung One UI 6.1 on the top and comes with Hybrid Dual SIM support.

It features a triple rear camera with a 50-megapixel main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, OIS, a secondary 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera with f/2.2 aperture, up to 10x digital zoom and a 5-megapixel macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture, UHD 4K (3840 x 2160) @30fps video recording, slo-mo 240fps @HD resolution and LED flash.
