Google has launched two new smartphones in the Pixel series the names Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G. Both the devices come with mid-range specifications with Snapdragon 765G SoC that come with 5G connectivity support. Both the new devices come with bigger displays, and batteries and run on the latest Android 11 OS out of the box. The Google Pixel 4a is priced at $499, it will be available in countries like Japan from October 15th, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and the United States in November with Black and Clearly White colour options.
The Google Pixel 5 is priced at $699, it will be available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and the United States starting from October 15th onwards with Just Black and Sorta Sage colour options. Both devices come with a 100% recycled aluminum body.
The Pixel 5 features a 6-inch FHD+ OLED 90Hz HDR display, 432 PPI, Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection and 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by an Octa-Core (1 x 2.4GHz + 1 x 2.2GHz + 6 x 1.8GHz Kryo 475 CPUs) Snapdragon 765G 7nm EUV Mobile Platform with Adreno 620 GPU. It has 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB (UFS 2.1) inbuilt storage. It runs on the Android 11 OS and comes with Dual SIM (nano + eSIM) support as well.
It has a dual rear camera with a 12.2-megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture, LED flash, OIS and a 16-megapixel 107° ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture. It also has an 8-megapixel front camera with an 84° ultra-wide lens and an f/2.0 aperture. It has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and comes with a water and dust-resistant IP68 rating.
It has a 4000mAh battery with 18W fast charging, Qi wireless charging, and reverse charging and comes with 5G SA/NA 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac 2×2 MIMO (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.0 LE, GPS, USB Type C 3.1 (1st Gen), NFC, USB Type-C audio connectivity support and other features like stereo speakers and 3 microphones.
