After so many leaks and rumours, Samsung has finally launched the new Samsung Galaxy S20 FE at an official event today. The new Samsung Galaxy S20 FE comes with a flat Super AMOLED Infinity-O display, runs on the Snapdragon 865 SoC, and comes with an optical in-display fingerprint scanner like the S20 lineup devices.
It is priced at £599 / €649 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage variant with 4G LTE, 8GB + 256GB 4G LTE variant is priced at €719, 6GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage variant with 5G is priced at $699.99 / £699, while the Galaxy S20 FE with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage with 5G support is priced at €819. It is available for pre-order in several regions from today and will be available for sale starting from October 2 with various colour options like Cloud Red, Cloud Orange, Cloud Lavender, Cloud Mint, Cloud Navy, and Cloud White.
The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE comes with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O Display, 407 PPI, 120Hz refresh rate, and 2400 × 1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 7nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 650 GPU / Octa-Core Samsung Exynos 990 7nm EUV processor with ARM Mali-G77MP11 GPU.
It comes with 6GB of RAM (LPDDR5) with 128GB internal storage and another variant with 8GB RAM (LPDDR5) with 128GB/256GB internal storage capacity and expandable storage up to 1TB with the help of a microSD card slot. It runs on Android 10 with OneUI out of the box and comes with single SIM / Hybrid SIM slots.
It has a triple rear camera with a 12-megapixel main camera with LED Flash, f/1.8 aperture, PDAF, 79˚ FOV, OIS, an 8-megapixel Telephoto lens with 32° FoV, f/2.4 aperture, PDAF, OIS, 3X Optical Zoom, Up to 30x Super Resolution Zoom and a 12-megapixel 123° Ultra Wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture. It also has a 32-megapixel front-facing camera with an 80° wide-angle lens and f/2.0 aperture. The device is water and dust resistant with IP68 ratings and comes with an in-display optical fingerprint sensor.
It has a 4500mAh battery with 25W fast charging, WPC Qi wireless fast charging, and wireless PowerShare. It supports 5G SA/NSA Sub6 / mmWave (Optional), Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5, GPS with GLONASS, USB 3.1, NFC, MST, USB Type-C audio connectivity options, and additional options like stereo speakers tuned by AKG, Surrounds sound with Dolby Atmos. It measures 74.5 x 159.8 x 8.4mm and weighs 190g.
