Taiwan’s HTC has launched two new smartphones, one in the HTC U series and the other one in the HTC Desire series of smartphones named HTC U20 5G and HTC Desire 20 Pro. The main highlight of the mid-range HTC U20 5G includes a quad rare camera, a Snapdragon 765G processor and 5G connectivity as its name implies. It has a bigger 5000mAh battery and has a 48-megapixel rear main camera.
The Desire 20 Pro, on the other side, comes with a Snapdragon 665 processor and has a quad-camera on the rear side as well. Talking about the price, the HTC U20 5G is priced at NT$ 18,990 (around $640) and it will be available for order in the home country Taiwan starting from July 1st. The HTC Desire 20 Pro is priced at NT$ 8,990 (around $303) and will go on sale in Taiwan on June 18th. HTC U20 5G comes in Dark Green and Crystal White colours while the Desire 20 Pro comes in Smokey Black and Pretty Blue colour options.

Talking about the specifications, the HTC U20 5G comes with a 6.8-inch Full HD+ 20:9 aspect ratio LCD screen and 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. It is powered by an octa-core (1 x 2.4GHz + 1 x 2.2GHz + 6 x 1.8GHz Kryo 475 CPUs) Snapdragon 765G 7nm EUV Mobile Platform with Adreno 620 GPU. It has 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and comes with 256GB (UFS 2.1) storage. It runs on the Android 10 OS out of the box and supports dual-SIMs.
It has a quad-camera setup on the rear side with a 48-megapixel camera with f/1.8 aperture, LED flash, a secondary 8-megapixel 118° Ultra Wide Lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 2-megapixel 2cm super macro and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. It has a 32-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture that also has a secondary 2-megapixel portrait camera with f/2.4 aperture.
It has a 5000mAh battery with 18 fast-charging QC4.0 and supports 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, NFC, USB Type-C connectivity options and has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. It measures 171.2 x 78.1 x 9.4 mm and weighs 215g.
The HTC Desire 20 Pro comes with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ 19:5:9 aspect ratio LCD screen and 2340 ×1080 pixels resolution. It has an octa-core Snapdragon 665 11nm Mobile Platform (Quad 2GHz Kryo 260 + Quad 1.8GHz Kryo 260 CPUs) with Adreno 610 GPU powering it coupled with 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB (eMMC 5.1) of inbuilt storage capacity that is also expandable up to 512GB with the help of a microSD card.
It also supports dual-SIMs (nano + nano + microSD) and runs on the Android 10 OS out of the box. It has a quad-camera setup with a 48-megapixel camera with LED Flash, f/1.8 aperture, a secondary 8-megapixel 118° ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel camera for 2.5cm macro with f/2.4 aperture. It measures 162 x 77 x 9.4 mm weight 201g.
