LG has also kicked off its MWC event with the launch of three flagships LG G8 ThinQ, LG G8s ThinQ and LG V50 ThinQ 5G at Barcelona today. The LG G8 ThinQ is the successor to the LG G7 ThinQ while the LG V50 ThinQ 5G is the successor to the LG V40 ThinQ. The company launched its first 5G phone with the LG V50 ThinQ 5G.
The LG G8 and G8s ThinQ come with Carmine Red, New Aurora Black and New Moroccan Blue colour options and will be available from March while the LG V50 ThinQ 5G will be available from this year with Astro Black colour option with 10 major carriers in United States, South Korea, Australia as well as several European countries where 5G service will be launched this year.
LG G8 ThinQ specs
The LG G8 ThinQ features a 6.1-inch 19.5:9 FullVision OLED Display with 3120 x 1440 pixels resolution and is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 7nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 640 GPU. It comes with 6GB LPDDR4x RAM with 128GB (UFS 2.1) internal storage that is also expandable memory up to 2TB with a microSD card slot.
It runs on the Android Android 9.0 (Pie) and features a triple rear camera with a 12-megapixel camera with f/1.5 aperture, 1.4µm pixel size, 78° lens, a 16-megapixel super wide camera with f/1.9 aperture, 1.0µm pixel size, 107° lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto camera with f/2.4 aperture, 1.0µm pixel size, 45° lens, LED flash. It has an 8-megapixel front camera with f/1.7 aperture, 1.22μm pixel size, 80° lens, 3D ToF sensor. It has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and supports 3D face unlock as well.

The LG G8s ThinQ has similar features as the G8 ThinQ but with a bigger display of 6.2 inches with 2248 x 1080 pixels resolution and FHD+ 19.5:9 FullVision OLED support and has a slightly upgraded 3550mAh battery.
