Chinese smartphone maker, Meizu has just announced a new smartphone in the “Note series” the name Meizu Note 8 which comes with a premium look, feel and dual rear cameras. The Meizu Note 8 is priced at 1298 yuan (around $186) and will go on sale in homeland China with Black, Blue, Purple and Red colour options from November 1st. No details are available about its global rollout yet. It comes with a face unlock and also has a fingerprint scanner on the rear side. The Meizu Note 8 features a 6-inch Full HD+ 19:9 aspect ratio display with 2160 x 1080 pixels resolution and is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 632 14nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 506 GPU. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage capacity that is further expandable up to 128GB additional storage with the help of a microSD card slot. It runs on the Android 8.1 (Oreo) based Flyme OS 7 out of the box and supports Dual SIMs.
It has a dual rear camera with a 12-megapixel camera with LED flash, Sony IMX362 sensor, f/1.9 aperture, Dual PD autofocus, and 6P lens with a secondary 5-megapixel camera for portrait shots. It also has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. It has a 3600mAh battery with mCharge fast charging support and comes with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS + GLONASS connectivity options. It has a fingerprint sensor on the rear side. It measures 153.64×75.56×7.95mm and weighs 168 grams.

The Meizu 16X features a 6-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 100000: 1 contrast ratio, 430cd/m2 (typical) brightness, 402 PPI and 1080 × 2160 pixels resolution. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 710 10nm Mobile Platform (Dual 2.2GHz Kryo 360 + Hexa 1.7GHz Kryo 360 CPUs) with Adreno 616 GPU. It comes with 6GB RAM with 64GB / 128GB (UFS 2.1) internal storage options and runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with Flyme OS and supports Dual SIMs.
It has a dual rear camera setup with a 12-megapixel camera with a wide-angle lens, 1/2.3″ Sony IMX380 sensor, 1.55μm pixel size, f/1.8 aperture, Four-axis OIS, PDAF, Laser auto-focus along with a secondary 20-megapixel telephoto lens, Sony IMX350 sensor, f/2.6 aperture, 6-LED ring LED flash. It has a 20-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, and an AI face unlocks. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor and a 3.5mm audio jack with dual speakers support as well. It has a 3100mAh battery with Mcharge fast charging and supports Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, and GPS connectivity options.
