Samsung has just announced the new Galaxy A series smartphone Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) that will be available in select European and Asian markets starting in October. The main highlight of the device is its triple rear camera setup making it Samsung’s first phone with a triple rear camera setup and a full-view 6-inches display. It comes with a metal frame and has a glass back. It comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and has a bigger 3300mAh battery.

It comes with Blue, Black, Gold and Pink colour options and is priced at €349 (around $407). We want to let our readers know that Samsung is also holding an event on October 11, 2018, in Malaysia where the company is going to launch a new Galaxy smartphone that will feature a four-rear camera setup and the event will kick start at 5:00 PM (MYT).

The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) features a 6-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display with 1080×2220 pixels resolution and is powered by a 2.2GHz Octa-Core processor expected to be the Exynos 7885 processor. It comes with 4GB of RAM with 64GB / 128 GB inbuilt storage options and 6GB RAM with 128GB inbuilt storage with all variants supporting expandable storage up to 512GB via micro SD card. It runs on the Android 8.0 (Oreo) OS out of the box and supports Dual SIMs.

It features a triple rear camera setup with a 24-megapixel camera with LED flash, f/1.7 aperture, 8MP 120° Ultra Wide camera, and a 5-megapixel f/2.2 depth camera. It also has a 24-megapixel front-facing selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. It is backed up by a 3300mAh battery with adaptive fast charging and supports connectivity options such as 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4/5GHz), VHT80, Bluetooth v5, GPS + GLONASS, and NFC. It comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and also supports Dolby Atmos. It measures 159.8 x 76.8 x 7.5 mm and weighs 168 grams.

The Galaxy A7 2018 comes with the SM-A730F model number on FCC and as usual, the FCC approval documents come with some tests related to LTE and other connectivity options. The FCC documents haven’t revealed any specifications of the device and there are no images of the device available in the FCC documents so we may have to wait for more leaks and rumours for more details.

The FCC approval documents for Galaxy A7 2018 model number SM-A730F also come with a dual SIM variant that carries the model number SM-A730F/DS that will launched along with the single SIM variant in some markets. The Galaxy A7 2018 was spotted at Geekbench with model number SM-A730F and it comes with Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS out of the box and comes with a 1.59 GHz octa-core processor along with 6GB of RAM. The device scored 1490 points in the single-core test and 4172 points in the multi-core test. No other details about the device are available in the Geekbench test.

The device was also listed by GFXBench benchmark with an unusual display size 86.7-inch but it will be a 6-inch Full HD+ Infinity Display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and 2160 x 1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 2.1GHz Octa-Core Exynos 7885 14nm processor with Mali-G71 GPU and comes with 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage capacity with expandable storage up to 256GB via microSD card slot.

It runs on the Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) OS out of the box, according to Geekbench and supports Dual SIMs. It features a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. It will have a fingerprint sensor and will have a water and dust-resistant body with IP68 ratings. The device will have 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth v4.2, NFC, and USB Type-C connectivity options at the time of its launch.
