Huawei Nova 3 announced with dual rear cameras, 6GB RAM and a 3750mAh battery

Huawei has just launched a new smartphone in the Nova series with the name Huawei Nova 3 which is the successor to the last year’s Nova 2 smartphone. It has a glass back and comes with 3D Qmoji which is similar to Apple’s Animoji. It comes with a face unlocking feature that uses infrared light to gather the user’s face information even in low-light and dark conditions.

It comes with Purple, Black, Blue and Gold colour options and is currently up for pre-order from Vmall in China. The pricing of the device will be announced on July 18th and the device will be available for sale in the country starting from July 20th onwards. No details were available about its global debut. The company has already launched the Nova 3e smartphone in March.

It features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ 19:5:9 3D curved glass display, 85% NTSC Color Gamut and 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by an Octa-Core Huawei Kirin 970 (4 x 2.4 GHz A73+ 4 x 1.8 GHz A53) 10nm processor with Mali-G72 MP12 GPU,  i7 co-processor, NPU, GPU Turbo. It comes with 6GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB internal storage options with expandable storage up to 256GB with a microSD card slot. It runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with EMUI 8.2 on top out of the box and supports a hybrid Dual SIMs option (nano + nano / microSD).

It features a dual rear camera with a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/1.8 aperture, PDAF, and CAF along with a secondary 24-megapixel rear camera with f/1.8 aperture. It also comes with dual front cameras with a 24-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture along with a secondary 2-megapixel camera. It has a 3750mAh battery with fast charging support and supports Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, and USB Type-C connectivity options. It has a fingerprint sensor on the rear side. It measures 157.0×73.7×7.3mm and weighs 166 grams.

The Nova 3e was announced in March with a 5.84-inch Full HD+ 19: 9 2.5D curved glass display, 96% NTSC colour gamut and 1080 x 2280 pixels resolution and is powered by an octa-core Kirin 659 processor (4 xA53 at 2.36GHz + 4 x A53 at 1.7GHz) with MaliT830-MP2 GPU. It comes with 4GB RAM with 64GB / 128GB inbuilt storage options that also support expandable storage up to 256GB with a microSD card slot. It runs on Android 8.0 (Oreo) with EMUI 8.0 and supports hybrid Dual SIMs.

It features a dual rear camera with a 16-megapixel camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, and PDAF along with a secondary 2-megapixel camera. It also comes with a selfie-focused 24-megapixel front-facing camera with a Sony IMX576 sensor and f/2.0 aperture. It is backed up by a 3000mAh battery with fast charging and support connectivity options such as 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS / GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C 2.0, 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio and also comes with a fingerprint sensor on the rear side. It measures 148.6×71.2×7.4mm and weighs 145 grams.
