Honor Magic 2 is coming soon??
Huawei’s Honor sub-division launched the Honor Magic smartphone a year back in China and the company is expected to launch the successor to the smartphone a couple of days from now. The Honor has started teasing a new device in its teasers via their Weibo page and has also announced that it is going to hold an official event on December 13 in China.
Honor Magic 2 specs
According to the rumours, the company might be gearing up to launch the next version of the Honor Magic smartphone rumoured as Honor Magic 2 which might have the next level of intelligent features from its predecessor. We are still not sure whether they will launch the Magic 2 or some other new smartphone as some of the company’s teasers come with a bigger “4” number that hints towards a different device in the makings for December 13.
The main highlight of the Honor Magic was its fully curved display with all four front sides curved. So, the big “4” in the Honor’s teaser might be a hint towards it or its four cameras with dual cameras on the front and dual on the back.
The Honor Magic was launched with some intelligent features like the FaceCode Intelligent Recognition technology that limits the message notifications access to the pre-registered faces and, the DeepThink feature that allows its user to access multi-faceted information by pressing and holding the home button. We can expect some more new features like that with the new Honor Magic 2 smartphone if it gets launched in the official event.
To recall, the Honor Magic was launched with a 5.09-inch Quad HD AMOLED 3D curved glass display with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. The new Magic 2 might be having a bigger display of at least 6 inches or lower. The Honor Magic was powered by an octa-core Kirin 950 (2.3GHz 4 x A72 + 1.8GHz 4 x A53) 16nm processor with Mali T880-MP4 GPU along with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It launched Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) pre-installed with Magic Live OS pre-installed and the device supports Dual-SIMs.
It has a dual rear camera with 12-megapixel sensors having dual-tone LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, 6P lens, 1.4um pixel size and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. The Honor Magic was backed up by a 2900mAh battery with Huawei Magic Power fast charging and connectivity options available were 4G, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. It measures 146.1×69.9x 7.8 mm and weighs 145 grams. A fingerprint scanner is available on the physical home button.
Let’s wait for the Huawei Honor’s December 13 event which is just a couple of days away from now to check out what surprises the company is going to give to its fans in China. Stay tuned.
