LG Signature Edition smartphone launched with LG V30 internals

LG has launched a new premium series smartphone LG Signature Edition that has similar specifications to the LG V30 smartphone but it is made of premium quality materials and it will be a costly phone. According to the sources, LG will sell only 300 units of the LG Signature Edition in South Korea and it will be priced at 2 million won (around $1,800) which is more than the price of the iPhone X smartphone that is priced at 1.63 million won in Korea.

The LG Signature Edition will be available with Black and White colour options and it will go on sale later this month. It runs on the Android 8.0 (Oreo) OS-based LG UX 6.0+ out of the box. Let’s check out the specifications of the device next.

LG LG Signature Edition specs

The LG Signature Edition is made of premium materials such as zirconium ceramic back cover that can prevent scratches and the customers can also engrave their name on the back of the phone. It features a 6-inch QHD+ OLED display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, 538 PPI, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and 2880 x 1440 pixels resolution. It will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform with Adreno 540 GPU. It will have 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB (UFS 2.1) of internal storage capacity that is further expandable up to 2TB with a microSD card slot. It runs on Android 8.0 (Oreo) with LG UX 6.0+ on top.

It features a dual rear camera with a 16-megapixel camera having f/1.6-aperture, 71-degree wide-angle lens, dual-tone LED flash, Laser auto focus, OIS, EIS, PDAF along with a 13-megapixel secondary camera with f/1.9 aperture and 120-degree wide-angle lens. It also comes with a 5-megapixel front camera with a 90-degree wide-angle lens and f/2.2 aperture. It comes with a 3,300mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and support for wireless charging.

Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0 LE, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C 2.0 (3.1 compatible). The device comes with a 32-bit Advanced Hi-Fi Quad DAC for enhanced audio quality and it also comes with IP68 ratings which means it’s water and dust-resistant. A fingerprint sensor is available on the back of the phone. It measures 151.7 x 75.4 x 7.6mm and weighs 189 grams.
