In an event today, HTC launched the two new smartphones in the flagship category. The devices are HTC U11 Life and HTC U11 Plus. The HTC U11 Plus comes with upgraded specifications from the HTC U11 smartphone that was launched in May this year. The U11 Life comes with downgraded specifications from the U11 but has the addition of Android One that will give your device the latest Android OS as soon it’s available.
HTC U11 Life Price
The HTC U11 Life comes with Android One and Sense UI variants with the Sense UI variant priced at $349 for the 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage that will be available starting November 3rd in the US exclusively via T-Mobile and the Android One variant that is priced at €395 (around $462) for the 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage and will be available in Europe and UK soon.
HTC U11 Life Specifications
It features a 5.2-inch Full HD Super LCD with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 Mobile Platform with Adreno 510 GPU. It comes with 3GB/4GB of RAM options with 32GB/64GB internal storage options and with both supporting MicroSD card expandable storage up to 2TB. The Android One variant runs on the Android One 8.0 (Oreo) while the Sense UI variant runs on the Android 7.1 Nougat and is upgradeable to Android 8.0 Oreo.
It features a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), BSI sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 4K video recording and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, BSI sensor, 1080p video recording. It has a 2600mAh built-in battery with QuickCharge 3.0 and comes with 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 & 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS + GLONASS, and USB-C 2.0 connectivity options.
The device also comes with a fingerprint sensor on the front-facing home button. It comes with HTC USonic with Active Noise Cancellation and Hi-Res audio and also comes with FM Radio support. The HTC U11 Life comes with Water and dust resistance with IP67 ratings. It measures 149.09 x 72.9 x 8.1mm and weighs 142 grams.
HTC U11 Life T-Mobile
HTC launched the flagship HTC U11 with its unique Edge Sense feature and is long rumoured to launch the bigger HTC U11 Plus in its November 2nd event. The company is also going to launch the HTC U11 Life in the official event along with the HTC U11 Plus smartphone. But looks like, the HTC U11 Life will be available with T-Mobile carrier as the carrier has accidentally leaked out all the specifications of the HTC U11 Life smartphone.
The leaked support page for U11 Life confirms that the U11 Life will support the Edge Sense feature that was available first with the HTC U11 and was also introduced with the recently launched Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones. The device will also have Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa support.
As per the T-Mobile listing, it has a 16-megapixel rear camera and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera as well. It will have a 2600mAh battery with 13-17 hours usage hours and a standby time of 672 hours. It comes with connectivity options such as 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, USB 2.0 Type C, Tethering APN, NFC, Wi-Fi Calling 2.0 and others. It has a fingerprint scanner on the front home button as well.
