Motorola recently scheduled its upcoming event for July 25th in New York City and the Lenovo-owned company was expected to launch Moto Z2 Force or the long-rumored Moto X4 smartphone. We were not confirmed about what smartphone this event is scheduled for but we were expecting more details of the upcoming device.
The company also issued a couple of new teasers which say “You won’t want to miss this” with #hellomotoworld the event date of July 25th and the New York location of the event. Motorola has finally launched the new flagship Moto Z2 Force with upgraded features and dual rear cameras making it the first Moto device featuring a dual rear camera. The company also launched the 360-degree camera mod with the device that will be available separately from the device.
Moto Z2 Force Price
The Moto Z2 Force is priced at $799.99 in the US SIM free or you can opt for the $30 per month contract option. The company is also giving free Moto Insta-Share Projector Mod for purchases till September 9, 2017.
The pre-orders for the device have started via US carriers like AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Verizon, and Best Buy and you can also buy it from the Motorola website starting August 10th with Fine Gold and Super Black colour options. The company has also confirmed that the Moto Z2 Force will be available in other markets like Mexico, Brazil, Europe, the Middle East and Africa starting later in the summer. The Moto 360 Camera mod is priced at $299.99 and will be available globally starting August 10.
Moto Z2 Force Specs
The Moto Z2 Force features a 5.5-inch Quad-HD AMOLED POLED ShatterShield shatterproof display with 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution and is powered by the 2.45GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with Adreno 540 GPU. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage capacity that is expandable up to 2TB with a microSD card slot. It runs out of the box on the Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) OS and comes with Single and Dual SIM variants depending on the market.
It features a dual rear camera setup (monochrome + colour) having dual 12-megapixel sensors with dual-tone LED flash, Sony IMX386 sensors, Æ’/2.0 aperture, 1.25um pixel size, PDAF, Laser Auto Focus, 4k video recording and has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and 85-degree wide-angle lens.
A 2730mAh battery with Turbo Charging backs it up and has connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 and 5 GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2 (5.0 enabled after Android O), GPS with GLONASS, NFC and USB Type-C. The device has a fingerprint sensor on the front-facing physical home button. The device comes with water-repellent nano-coating and also comes with a front-ported loudspeaker and 3 Mics. It measures 76 x 155.8 x 6.1 mm and weighs 143 grams.
The company has also launched the 360-degree camera mod that comes with features such as Shoot, editing, and sharing 360° video, audio, and images (with an ultra wide-angle 150° field of view) right from your phone. It can capture immersive Ultra HD video with 3D sound and can instantly share or live stream to your social networks.
Moto Z2 Force at TENAA
The device was also TENAA approved with the model number XT1789-05, however, doesn’t have specifications and details of the device but comes with images of the device. Moto Z2 Force also leaked (via) the official Motorola China website which showcased the official image of the upcoming Moto Z2 Force device on the Moto Mods microsite which was removed later on.
The leaked image clearly shows the Moto Z2 Force smartphone or the Moto Z2 with dual rear cameras and using the new Moto mods including the new Moto 360 camera mod and other mods as well. The leaked image also confirmed Grey and White colour options for the Moto Z2 and Z2 Force smartphones.
Moto Z2 Force AnTuTu
Moto Z2 Force has just been spotted listed in the AnTuTu benchmark database listing some of its key specifications including the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 mobile platform and other good specifications. The Moto Z2 Force was listed at AnTuTu with model number XT1789-05 and is expected to be the Moto Z2 Force. It features a Quad-HD display with 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution and is powered by a Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform with Adreno 540 GPU.
The device runs on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS out of the box and will support Dual SIM in some regions. It comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage capacity and is not expected to have an expandable storage slot. It features a 12-megapixel rear camera with LED flash but from past leaks and leaked images of the device we can expect a dual rear camera with dual 12-megapixel sensors for this device. it also comes with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie lovers.
Another Z2 Force model was also listed by AnTuTu here. It was listed with Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS out of the box and features a Quad-HD display having 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor that also comes with a powerful Adreno 540 GPU. It has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage capacity that will also have expandable MicroSD card storage. Further, the listing reveals that the Moto Z2 features a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
It was also spotted listed on Geekbench with Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS out of the box and was powered by the octa-core 1.90 GHz Snapdragon 835 (msm8998) processor with Adreno 540 GPU. It comes with 4GB of RAM according to Geekbench while other details about the device are currently unavailable. The device scored 1879 points in the single-core test while it scored 6503 points in the multi-core test. According to a leaked image, the new Moto Z2 and Z2 Force are expected to feature a dual-rear camera with dual-tone LED flash.
Recently, Evan Blass also shared an image from the Moto X4 smartphone that has a similar design to the Moto G5 and G5 Plus, however, the image shared by Evan Blass confirms a dual rear camera setup for the device.
