Chinese Meizu is all set to launch the new flagship Meizu Pro 7 in the July 26th event in China and we already have some information about the device that it will feature a secondary smaller display in the rear panel that will also have the rear camera. The device has got the TENAA approval with multiple variants that are listed with model numbers M792C, M792C-L, M792M-L, M792Q, M792Q-L and M793Q but unfortunately, these listing at TENAA doesn’t have any specifications details of these variants of the Meizu Pro 7 flagship.
The leaked images have, however, confirmed the secondary rear panel display. Another Chinese website Weibo has leaked real hands-on images from the device that show a user using the secondary display on the rear side. The rumours also confirm that a Plus variant is also in the works and will be launched as the Meizu Pro 7 Plus.
Meizu Pro 7 specs
At TENAA, the Meizu Pro 7 shows multiple colour options including White, Gold and Black. A fingerprint scanner is available on the physical home button on the front panel and the device comes with a dual rear camera with LED flash. According to the rumours, the Meizu Pro 7 will feature a 5.2-inch Full-HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and will be powered by the Helio X30 10nm Mediatek processor.
A secondary E-ink display will be available on the rear panel that will be similar to the Yotaphone display. The device will have 6GB and 8GB RAM variants with 64GB and 128GB of inbuilt storage capacity. It will run on the Android 7 Nougat OS out of the box and will support dual-SIMs.
It will feature a dual rear camera with 12-megapixel + 12-megapixel sensors and will be Sony IMX386 and IMX286 and we also have a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. The bigger Meizu Pro 7 Plus will have a larger 5.7-inch full-HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and will have similar specifications to the Meizu Pro 7. The Pro 7 Plus is expected to carry a larger battery than the Pro 7 but the exact size of the battery is still unknown.
According to the rumours, the 6GB RAM + 64GB inbuilt storage variant will be priced at CNY2799 (around $413), and the 8GB RAM + 128GB of internal storage variant is expected to be priced at CNY 3299 (around $486) while the company may also launch a Pro Plus version of the device that is expected to be priced around $500. We have to wait now for the official event of the company which is scheduled for July 26 and we are just a couple of days away from the official event which will give us full details about these Meizu devices.
