As we already know Huawei is rumoured to launch its new Honor series flagship Huawei Honor 9 on June 27th in Berlin in an official event that will have a new superior dual rear camera and other top-end specifications. Looks like the rumoured news is true as the Huawei Honor 9 has just got clearance from Chinese regulatory TENAA where it’s listed with multiple variants and with 6GB RAM, dual rear cameras and an upgraded battery.

The Honor 9 is listed at TENAA with model numbers STF-AL00, STF-TL10 and STF-AL10. Out of these, the STF-AL00 is listed with 4GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage capacity, and STF-TL10 is listed at TENAA with 6GB RAM and 64GB / 128GB inbuilt storage options. The Huawei Honor 9 is listed at TENAA with a 5.15-inch full-HD TFT display with 1920 × 1080 pixels resolution and is powered by a 2.4GHz octa-core processor that is expected to be one of Huawei’s owned Kirin processors. It comes with 4GB and 6GB RAM options along with 64GB and 128GB inbuilt storage options which is expandable via a MicroSD card slot up to 128GB storage. It runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat OS out of the box but we may expect that the Huawei Honor 9 will be launched with Android 7.1.1 or with Android O at the time of its launch. It is expected to come with dual-SIM support as well.

The camera department for the Honor 9 includes a dual rear camera with 12-megapixel + 2-megapixel cameras with dual tone dual LED flash while it also has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for the selfie lovers. It is backed up by a 3100mAh battery and connectivity options expected to be available are 4G LTE with VoLTE, 3G, Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi and other options as well.

It measures 147.3 × 70.9 × 7.45 mm and weighs 155 grams. It comes with a Gold colour option in all three TENAA listings. It comes with a metal frame with a glass back and this time the Honor 9 will have a fingerprint scanner on the front physical home button instead of the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

To recall, the Huawei Honor 8 was launched last year with a 5.2-inch full HD 2.5D curved glass display with 96% NTSC colour gamut and 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, octa-core Kirin 950 (2.3GHz 4 x A72 + 1.8GHz 4 x A53) 16nm processor with Mali T880-MP4 GPU, 3GB RAM + 32GB inbuilt storage, 4GB RAM + 32GB / 64GB internal storage options, microSD card expandable storage up to 128GB.

It runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) OS with EMUI 4.1, hybrid Dual SIM, a 12-megapixel dual rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Laser AF, f/2.2 aperture, 6P lens and 1.4um pixel size, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture, a 3000mAh battery with fast charging, 4G LTE and it measures 145.5 x 71 x 7.45 mm and weights 153g.
