A newly leaked teaser from Huawei’s Honor has finally confirmed that the flagship Honor 9 will be launched on June 27th in Europe. The Honor 9 will be the successor to last year’s Honor smartphone which was launched with a dual rear camera. Huawei’s Honor is rumored to launch the Honor 9 flagship on June 20 or June 21 in its home country China making June 27 a perfect day for its unveiling in European countries.
The leaked teaser from the company (via gsmarena) comes with the title “The Light Catcher” and a line at the end saying “Join us on June 27th to see how Honor lights up the night” that hints towards a superior camera for the flagship device. The device is expected to be announced in the official event taking place in Berlin, Germany.
The Honor 9 is expected to come with some improvements and upgraded hardware. The Honor 9 is rumoured to ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack that will be replaced with a USB Type-C port. The Honor 9 will feature a dual rear camera with Dual LED flash as per the rumors. According to the leaked images of the device, the Honor 9 is expected to have a physical home button with a fingerprint scanner embedded in it.

According to the rumours, the Honor 9 will feature a 5.2-inch full HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and will be powered by the Kirin 960 processor. It will have 4GB or 6GB of RAM with 32GB or 64GB of inbuilt storage capacity that will be expandable via a MicroSD card up to 128 GB. The Huawei Honor 9 will feature a dual rear camera with 20-megapixel + 12-megapixel dual camera sensors for enhanced high-quality images.
An 8-megapixel front-facing camera is also expected with the phone. It will be backed up by an upgraded battery from the Honor 8 but the size of the battery is unknown currently. The Honor 9 is expected to be priced around €399 just like the predecessor in Europe. The global pricing details and other details about the device are currently unknown for the upcoming flagship.

It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with EMUI 4.1. It features a dual rear camera with a 12-megapixel monochrome sensor and a 12-megapixel colour sensor.
It features a 12-megapixel dual rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Laser AF, f/2.2 aperture, 6P lens and 1.4um pixel size. It also comes with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture. It is backed up by a 3000mAh battery with fast charging. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C. It measures 145.5 x 71 x 7.45 mm and weighs 153g. it also has a fingerprint scanner on the rear side.
