Meizu has finally launched its new smartphone today in China called Meizu E2 the company was teasing its new teasers on its Weibo account. Earlier this month, the company announced its February 26th event and today we have a new smartphone with mid-range specifications and an affordable price tag.

The Meizu E2 is priced at 1299 yuan (around $188) for the 3GB RAM + 32GB inbuilt storage option while you have to pay 1599 yuan (around $230) for the 4GB RAM + 64GB inbuilt storage option. It is available for pre-order in the country and the sale of the device will start from April 29th. It will be available in Black, Moonlight Silver and Champagne Gold colour options. There are no details available about its global availability and pricing as of now.

Meizu E2 specs

The Meizu E2 features a full metal unibody design and comes with an mTouch fingerprint sensor embedded into the physical home button on the front panel that can unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds. It comes with a 5.5-inch LCD with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and, a 1000: 1 contrast ratio and is powered by a 2.3GHz GHz MediaTek Helio P20 octa-core 64-bit 16nm processor with ARM Mali T880 GPU. It comes with 3GB /4GB of LPDDR4X RAM along with 32GB /64GB internal storage options. Both the variants come with MicroSD card expandable storage up to 128GB. It runs on the Flyme 6.0 based on YunOS and it also comes with a hybrid Dual SIM slot.

It features a 13-megapixel rear camera with 4-LED dual-tone flash, f/2.2 aperture and PDAF. It also comes with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 1.4μm pixel size. It is backed up by a 3400mAh battery with fast charging that can charge the phone up to 40% in just 30 minutes. and connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS and GLONASS. The device comes with a fingerprint sensor on the physical home button as we discussed previously. It measures 153.7 x 75.7 x 7.5mm and weighs 155 grams. The four-LED dual-tone flash can help take clear crisp pictures even in low light conditions.
