ZTE has just announced a couple of new smartphones today in China one is called ZTE Axon 7S which is the successor to the ZTE Axon 7 launched last year and has also launched the ZTE Axon 7 Max smartphone.

The new ZTE Axon 7s comes with a chipset upgrade and is now powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC whereas the Snapdragon 820 SoC powered the Axon 7. It also comes with a dual-camera setup on the rear side. The other specifications of the Axon 7s remain the same as those of the Axon 7 flagship.

On the other hand, the ZTE Axon 7 Max comes with a massive 4100 mAh battery and is also powered by the Snapdragon 821 SoC but other details about the device are currently unknown, for which we may have to wait a bit more. Both devices also come with real-time voice-to-text translation with support in up to 23 languages and other intelligent voice functions.

The ZTE Axon 7 was announced last year with a 5.5-inch AMOLED 2.5D curved glass 2k display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. It is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 820 64-bit processor with Adreno 530 GPU and comes with variants having 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage with both having expandable storage up to 128GB with microSD card. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based MiFavor UI 4.0 and supports Dual SIM.

It features a 20-megapixel rear camera with dual LED Flash, 4K video recording, PDAF, OIS, and F/1.8 aperture and also comes with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. A 3250mAh battery powers this device and connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/a/b/g/n (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C. It also features AK4961 and AK4490 dedicated audio chips and stereo speakers. It measures 151.7×75×7.9 mm and weights 185 grams.
