At the MWC 2017 event, Oppo announced its new 5X Optical Zoom technology for an ultimate photography experience. Last year, the company announced the Super VOOC Flash charge battery technology that can charge the phone from zero percent to full in just 15 minutes. The company announced the 5X optical zoom technology at MWC 2017 but hasn’t announced when this technology will be available with an Oppo phone and will be the name of that Oppo phone.

Now, some live images have surfaced online from MWC 2017 showing a mystery Oppo phone using this new 5X Optical Zoom technology. We are still not sure which Oppo phone this is but according to the rumours online, it might be the upcoming flagship Oppo Find 9 smartphone.

What’s 5X Optical Zoom?

A Weibo user has shared some images from this new mystery Oppo phone that shows how effective this new technology is while taking images with this new phone. Zooming in gives you a clear image of the objects you want to take a picture of. The leaked images of the mystery Oppo device also confirm a dual camera on the rear side of the device with a dual-tone LED flash.

The leaked device also comes with “5X MWC 2017” written on the rear and front sides. We are not sure if it’s the Oppo Find 9 device or some other Oppo prototype smartphone but looks like we are very near to seeing the launch of a new Opo device with better camera specs.

Around a year ago, an Oppo device with model number x9007 was spotted at AnTuTu and was said to be the Opopo Find 9. It was listed with specifications like a 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution display and it runs on the Snapdragon 820 soc with Adreno 530 GPU. It runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box and comes with 3GB of RAM along with 32 GB of inbuilt storage capacity. It features a 16-megapixel rear camera and a 4-megapixel front-facing camera. unfortunately, no other details about the device were listed in the AnTuTu listing.
