The Chinese Mobile company Huawei will launch a new version of its Mate series smartphone ie the Huawei Mate 10 in September or October. The device is supposed to launch in Munich, Germany. A user now on Chinese Weibo has shared some images from the Huawei Mate 10. Let’s check them out.
The device is supposed to be many upgrades over the previous year’s Mate 9 with a much beefier Kirin 970, the in-house processor developed by Huawei which is claimed to be an excellent competitor to the Snapdragon 835, the flagship processor of Qualcomm for 2017. However, rumours claim that this year Qualcomm may launch a Snapdragon 845 or 837 with upgrades over the previous version. Kirin 970 is said to improve performance and battery life a lot over its last version It will come at least with 6GB of RAM and 64GB onboard storage with MicroSD card support up to 256GB.
In terms of display, the device is rumoured to come with a 6.1-inch Full-screen display with a QHD resolution making it a 486ppi panel. This time Huawei will be going with an AMOLED panel from an LCD panel used in Mate 9.
Talking about the camera, this time Huawei Mate 10 is said to come with a Dual Camera setup with OIS, which has now become quite standard for all the flagships in 2017. The Setup will probably come with Leica Branded which is supposed to increase the quality of images clicked by the device. This is a great bump up from past years Mate 9 which also had a dual camera setup but no Leica Brand. Talking about the software the device is said to come with Android 7.0 preloaded with Huawei custom skin EMUI.
Everything will be powered by a 4000+ mAh battery with fast charging support. The device will also come with a USB Type C port for better data transfer as well as charging speed. There is still no word on the presence of a 3.5 mm audio jack but keeping my fingers crossed. The fingerprint sensor is said to be rear-mounted and placed just below the camera setup. The speaker grills are placed at the bottom one being a microphone and another a loudspeaker module. The device is said to be priced at more than $1000.
